This guy can really paint. I mean he must be so tall to reach to the top of the canvas. His pictures look like real pictures. But not anymore. He is in a wheelchair. He paints big pictures of people faces. He uses only grey paint. He makes the biggest paintings in the world. He cannot walk. Now his paintings have color, but beofre they had all gray and black and white. Now his paintings are made of wierd shapes. Thye look just like people faces but not real. You can see the face. His philosophy of art is to make it all very big and to tell his people not to smile in thier pictures even if he is in a wheelchair.

She was married to another painter named Digra Rivero. They lived in Mexico togehter but she was a painter. He made murals which are big paintings on big buildings but he was in trouble from them/ Frieda painted her self portrait a lot. She liked to have a monkey. SHe had a big one eyebrow on her face and she also dressed in very nice clothes. He philosohy of art was to make art very colorful and to have her life stories in the art.

She wants more women and girls to make art and be recognizd. Her famous art is a dinner table.It is a big triangle. It is filled with plas but no food only symbols of famous women. Georgia Okeefe is a woman who is at the dinner table and she is a painter too. She makes pictures of skulls and flowers. Judy Chicago has a philosophy of art that is you should pay attentio to women becuase they are people too.

He is a painter who is not alive any more. He used a lot of thick colors and paints. His ear was cut off in an accedent. He was very famous after he died but when he had.t died yet he was not famous he was poor and wrote to his borther for money and paint. You have seen his painting of a sunflowrr? He made this painting many times. ANd the painting of Starry Night has a lot of swirls and dark colors in it. His philosophy of art is to make a lot of colors and swirls with his paintbrush and show off the dark lines in the houses. He liked to see the things that other people maybe didnt see.

Mary Cassatt and was a painter who lived in a America but he is not alive any more. She painted girls and thier mothers and they are waching in the sink. Her philosophy of art is to paint real life and make it look very nice and soft. She was friends with Picasso.
Louise Bourgeois is a very old artist but she is still alive. She makes very big spiders and puts them outside. She has people she pays to help her make very big spiders. She also makes books and cloth things and paints sometimes. Her art philosophy is to make a lot of art when you are old and make spiders and organic art which means her art has shapes that are like they are alive but not square or rectangle.

Wassily Kandinsky made paintings that you can't tell what that is. This means that it is abstract. The colors and shapes and lines are ll over the place and don't make a real picture. He is a painter who made real pictures and now he makes pictures that are abstract. But he is dead now. His philosophy of art is to make pictures that make you think they are something but they are not. He is very interested in lines and the direction those lines go in.
He is a video artist. He does not paint or make clay. His art is on the tv and the tv's sometimes hang from the cieling. If you look at his videos maybe you think they are not art? But they are becuase they use a lot of color and even sound to tell a story. Can a movie be art? I think it can be. So Nam June Paik is an artist. He is making art with very vivid colors and the images seem random. Poeple do things you would not expect in a movie. It is not a movie like "the Transofrmers" with a plot and explosions it is a move about art that moves and changes. And he also makes things installed in a museum or on the wall.
